Lisa Olivia Munn was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Kimberly Schmid was born in Vietnam and has Chinese roots, but her father Winston Barrett Munn comes from a Southern family. Olivia's parents split up when she was only two years old. Her mother raised her along with her stepfather, who is an United States Air Force officer. She was raised primarily in Tokyo, Japan, even although the family moved frequently. The actress was a part of local theatre productions during this period and was a model for the Japanese business. After the family returned home to United States, Olivia moved to Los Angeles to pursue her ambition of becoming an actor. After playing a couple of performances, her career took another promising step when she was offered the character of Mily Acuna in Hawaii's lensed TV series Beyond the Break (2006) and the role of Rob Schneider's receptionist Big Stan (2007). The G4 podcasts include "The Daily Nut" and "Formula D". The passion she has for surfing has been evident following the television program Beyond the Break. The black belt she holds is taekwondo. In the year 2000, as she was two years old of age, her mother remarried. While the family moved several times throughout her life, she was educated in Tokyo, Japan, where the military stationed her stepfather. In the University of Oklahoma is where she pursued her journalism studies, along with minors in Japanese, drama and dramatic arts.
