David Muir, an American journalist who anchors the ABC News magazine 20, is best known as the co-anchor of World News Tonight With David Muir. His show with its dramatic clips of celebrity gossip on video as well as his witty gestures have become the most watched newscast in America. Also, he is known for his Emmy-nominated show Made In America. Prior to his appointment as anchor of ABC World News Tonight he was the main substitute anchor for his former anchor Diane Sawyer. He was the anchor for numerous evening specials on primetime ABC News some recent ones including Breaking Point: Heroin in America and Flashpoint: Refugees in America. He's traveled to numerous countries around the globe covering the news. From Gaza Egypt Iran Somalia Japan Peru Ukraine Haiti, and the Gulf of Mexico. He has been awarded several Emmy Awards, Edward R. Murrow Awards and honors from the Associated Press.
